This is a chance to use your expertise to make a tangible impact.
You’ll help address the legacy of historic mining works ensuring projects are delivered safely, responsibly and with wellbeing in mind.
You’ll work closely with engineers, project managers and contractors to embed good practice from design through to delivery.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, including:
- Supporting the Authority and its clients to meet their legal duties under CDM 2015 (including the Principal Designer role)
- Providing practical advice at design reviews, pre-start and progress meetings
- Carrying out site visits, inspections and audits to monitor compliance and standards
- Challenging where standards fall short and working with teams to put things right
- Supporting incident investigations and, where required, completing RIDDOR reports
- Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of HSW policies and procedures
Why this role is different
This isn’t just about compliance.
It’s about:
- influencing behaviour on real projects
- embedding wellbeing alongside safety
- working with people to get the right outcomes not just enforcing rules
You’ll be part of a supportive, proactive team that takes pride in what it does and the difference it makes.
If you don’t meet every requirement but feel you could add value, we’d still love to hear from you.
